Cathy L's "Tidal Pools" Quilt

This cute quilt was made by Cathy aka Quiltycat. It is 52 x 68" and has the sweetest little star stitches in the binding!

I folded it for the photo so you can better see the pretty fabrics. Mum saw this one and was sad that she couldn't keep it for herself, LOL!!

Thank you, Cathy! I know you mentioned there's a 2nd package (the NYMQ) and I'll let you know when it arrives.

Sync's Pretty Top Arrived!

Robin (aka Sync) sent this pretty top this week, isn't it fun?! She also sent a very attractive wide green backing for it, and an orphan block as well. I love the extra wide backing material, so much easier to work with! Thank you, Robin!

Cathy C's Quilt Tops!

Cathy C in Arizona sent me some fabulously scrappy tops! Each one is a riot of color and I'm looking forward to getting them all finished and into their new homes. She even sent me 4 backings, and a bunch of binding left overs (oops, I forgot to take a picture of those though).

Brigitte's Orphans and Extras

I uploaded these in a hurry yesterday before leaving the house and am not quite sure if I'll get this right, trying to edit the draft in HTML on my phone...so if this turns out wEird I'll fix it tonight!!! Oh yeah, sure enough this was wEird! But I'm home now and fixing the formatting :)

Brigitte sent me this care package with several blocks plus some extras!!

Below you'll see she sent me some extra binding strips, a glue stick and some pretty variegated thread. Smokey approves! Thank you, Brigitte!!! (edited to add: I approve too, LOL!!)

NY Pam's House Blocks

I received these lovely houses from Pam yesterday. I love all of them!! Thank you Pam :D

I also received a package of blocks and extra goodies from Bridgette, that will be tomorrow's post!

Getting ready to head over to Zerna's soon to deliver most of the finished quilts! A couple of them didn't get labels yet, and two more are still at my parents', but we will meet again soon for another exchange!

SVQ Donations

Here are a few items I picked up from Karen and Mary the other night in North Bend. They're from the Snoqualmie Valley Quilters club that I sometimes attend. They gave me two finished quilts, one almost finished one (it was knit fabrics, sewn/birthed/top-stitched but someone forgot to tie it, oopsie) two fleece blankets and two quilt tops. One of the fleece blankets wouldn't photograph properly so I have a close up of it instead. Thank you, ladies!!!

Status Report and Eye Candy

As some of you may know, I originally was pretty much asking the ladies on the quilting.about.com forum for 12.5" blocks and "maybe some tops" for the Taylor Bridge Fire Quilts project. Oh my goodness!! To date I've received 18 finished quilts and 20+ quilt tops, one of which I quilted and finished. I have several others set aside to try to work on personally.

I thought it would be fun to see how some of the 12.5" blocks were going to look laid out. I put all of the houses up I'd received so far, and a portion of the other blocks. It looks like with sashing and borders I'll be able to make 2 quilt tops, maybe even 3!

You guys have truly overwhelmed me with your generosity and skills, and I'm so happy to be able to pass these works of art onto the folks who need a little something special to call their own after losing their homes to this terrible fire.

A huge thank you to all who are participating, and those still finishing items to send along!!!
